Anthea holds the position of Student Outreach Coordinator (Early Academic Outreach Program). She provides college counseling and academic advising to high school students in the Health Science Academy at Burton High School. She also coordinates mentoring and internship opportunities between UCSF, Burton High School and John O'Connell High School along with site visits to local colleges and universities.
Anthea received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development from UC Davis. She attended the Wright Institute in Berkeley and received both her Master of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology there. Her previous clinical experience includes working with adults in residential treatment programs for chemical dependency and mental health disorders, working with children and adolescents in foster care, and working at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs with veterans diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at UCSF in the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program providing brief counseling, consultation, and referrals for faculty, staff, and post-doctoral fellows. Prior to coming to EAOP, Anthea facilitated diversity training programs campus-wide to faculty, staff, and students at UCSF. She is excited about working with high school students to encourage, motivate, and inspire them to recognize their potential and continue their educational paths into college and beyond.

Ángel-Max is a native of San Francisco’s Mission District, and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English Literature. As a strong advocate for student access to higher education, Ángel-Max’s 22 years of professional experience have focused on academic preparation, outreach and recruitment. He was director of a TRIO/Talent Search organization for eight years in San Francisco and was responsible for designing and implementing statewide academic preparation programs with the University of California system for eight years before joining Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory as a College Advisor in the summer of 2008. In his spare time, Angel-Max is heavily involved in alumni activities/volunteer work.

Don Woodson is the Director of the UCSF Early Academic Outreach Program. Don holds a Masters in Education with an emphasis in equity and social justice, and has passionately worked for more than 20 years in university student access. He is a staunch supporter of equity in higher education and has supported various programs in his career that have expanded pathways for access and success for underrepresented, low income, first generation students and families. In his free time, Don enjoys adventure traveling to explore worldwide historical sites and spending time with his wife and four year old son.
